Simon works for Bosch’s driver assistance division and is the Bosch lead for a collaborative R&D project called ConVEx (Connected Vehicle Data Exchange). This project, which is part funded by the UK government and involves 6 other organisations, aims to create a platform to enable safe and secure trading of a wide range of mobility data, thereby accelerating UK access to the economic and societal benefits of connected and autonomous road vehicles. Previously Simon led the MOVE_UK project, which focussed on reducing the timescales and cost of validating automated driving systems, with live trials of vehicles fitted with these systems taking place on the streets of London.   Simon is an active member of the BSI CAV standards board, Zenzic Testbed UK Steering Group, and Automotive Council’s Intelligent Connected AutoMobility (ICAM) Working Group. Simon holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southampton University and also has a post graduate Master’s degree in the Management of Intellectual Property.
