The ambitious climate action signed with the Paris Agreement is fully supported by Bosch and requires close interaction between product strategy in the business units and the respective regulatory changes progressing on European and national level. As a central coordinator I am supported not only by technical and market-oriented expertise within the business division but also from the experts in the corporate office for governmental affairs. The focus is on future hydrogen technologies and synthetic liquid as well as gaseous derivates – so called drop-in E-Fuels for effective defossilization of vehicle stock as complementary measure to ambitious electrification of suitable mobility sectors and use-cases.
A sneak peak of the agenda. Find out more on the comprehensive overview.

Expert Panel
The topic of sustainability has gained a lot of importance in recent years, also in the automotive industry. The main energy and fuel source of the future is the key anchor point of creating a sustainable mobility ecosystem. Electric vehicles are dominating the media and every car manufacturer is heading that direction bringing BEV and PHEV to market. Hydrogen has also gained a cult following, re-emerging in the news, supported by large corporations, and fuelled by governmental initiatives. Which of these 'new' fuel sources will play a more significant role in the future automotive sector? Which segment will focus on electricity or on hydrogen? Are there any additional potentials created by looking past fossil fuels and towards sustainable energy sources?
